Elegant boudoir photographs – just for you.
Every boudoir photography experience is different and unique to what you want to achieve from the session.
Our expert team are here to guide you, before and during the photography session, but ultimately, the decision of what to wear and how to pose is completely down to you.
We would recommend that you choose and bring along your own outfits and adornments. We’ll direct the studio setting and lighting to accentuate your natural curves and colour, to create the perfect glamour mix. Never be afraid to try something different!
Please take a few minutes to read through our frequently asked questions to understand your full options and how to make the most out of your boudoir studio experience.
"What should I bring to my photo shoot?"
We normally suggest bringing at least 3 or 4 outfits, include some nice lingerie like pretty underwear sets, basques and corsets if you have them, a nice robe or kimono works well too. Also consider a baggy sweater with a loose neck line to allow it to drop off one shoulder and also a man's shirt is a real winner and looks great worn loose over some nice underwear. Don't be afraid to be different, we have had clients turn up with hats, jackets, (one clever lady hired a top hat and tails, complete with a cane), shoes and boots. Even a onesie can work for a few fun shots at the end of your session, really, there is no limit, so be a little creative and think outside the box! Props, again, if you think it will add something special to your session, bring it anyway.
Also, please don't forget accessories like necklaces, bracelets, a nice watch, earrings and hair pieces are useful to add an extra styling dimension to your photos too.
"Should I come with no makeup, just a little or doesn't it matter?"
Our makeup artist will probably have to remove makeup first so best to arrive fresh faced and bushy tailed ready to be pampered.
Also, try to avoid using hair straighteners before you come for your shoot as this makes adding curls and waves very difficult and we want you to look utterly fabulous in your photos.
Try to be well hydrated before you arrive, drink plenty of water the night before as this will smooth your completion and give you a nice glow to your skin. Get plenty of sleep the night before so you look fresh, the little details can make all the difference.
"I was thinking to get a spray tan before my shoot, is this ok?"
I would avoid this as it can cause real problems editing your images, it has a very unnatural 'orange' look and really does not work for our style of photography. We want you to look beautiful and elegant, a soft and natural look is best.
"I'm a little nervous, can I bring a friend for moral support"
Of course, we have no issue with bringing someone to your shoot, however, we ask that they do not sit in with you during your photo session. We need to have your undivided attention and we find it breaks the connection with client and photographer. We are aiming for an elegant, relaxed feel and this would not be so easy to achieve if you were being watched.
"I'm not very confident in front of the camera, will you guide me on how to pose?"
There's no need to worry, we help and guide clients throughout the shoot. We work in a much more relaxed and elegant way than many clients expect, it's not posing like many think, more coaching on how to look fabulous in front of the camera.
"Can I bring some music to play during my shoot?"
Of course, yes. We have a wireless music system that we can hook up to your smart phone, so if you want to create your own play list to help set the scene that would be great.
"My friend also wanted to book a shoot, could we come together?"
Yes, absolutely. All we need is a booking deposit from each of you, we can then book your shoots back to back.
"What happens after my shoot, how do I order my photos?"
Immediately after your shoot we will book your personal ordering appointment, usually within one week. This will be a projected slideshow set to music followed by lots of help and guidance to assist you in selecting your favourite images. Don't worry, there is no hard sell and definitely no pressure to buy, however, we are confident you will fall in love with your photos and want to purchase them. We'll show you your images using state of the art viewing software, we can even show how your finished photos will look when mounted and framed, even to exact scale within a room setting - all very clever!
Do you offer different payment options?"
Yes, we take all major credit and debit cards as well as cash or bank transfers, if you use online banking, you can do a funds transfer. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to afford your photos.
"When will I be able to collect my finished photos?"
We normally have everything ready 4 to 6 weeks after your ordering appointment, assuming all is paid in full. However, many products are much quicker to have printed so often this is much less, we will let you know the estimated delivery date at your ordering appointment.
